Jasmine Marquez, IBCLC
My aspirations are to help families reach their breastfeeding goals through one-on-one personalized care.
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My passion is preventative health, specifically in the field of Maternal, Infant, and Child health. I graduated with a Masters in Public Health from San Jose State University and completed the UC San Diego Lactation Consultant program where I performed over 300 clinical hours working with more than 250 moms and babies in a variety of settings (in home private practice, Richmond Women, Infant, and Children’s program (WIC), and Contra Costa Regional Medical Center).
I have been working with breastfeeding mothers and their families for over nine years, for the past three years I have sat on the board of the Bay Area Lactation Association, and in addition to my private practice, I also worked as a Lactation Consultant at the Baby-Friendly Highland Hospital in Oakland for two years.
I understand that sometimes there are breastfeeding/lactation challenges that seem insurmountable. Breastfeeding and making milk doesn’t happen easily for everyone! I am nonjudgmental and will listen even if you are feeling completely lost and exhausted. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
