Telephone Advice

During business hours, our front office staff members are trained to give advice about many of the minor, frequent childhood ailments.  We also offer phone consultation with a registered nurse who is trained to give phone advice on Mondays and Fridays.  All such messages are reviewed by a physician that morning or afternoon.  If you would like to speak with your doctor directly, please let the receptionist know. We try to return all calls the same day.

We do not routinely prescribe antibiotics over the phone without first seeing your child in the office. 

During the time the office is closed, we encourage you to take advantage of the information on our website. You may also call our office and leave a voicemail requesting an appointment.  All messages will be returned as soon after the office reopens. 

For urgent questions when the office is closed, please call the main office number and you will be given information about options for phone advice after hours.  We have an after hours nurse advice service available, and our physicians are also on call for phone advice.  If our doctor does not call you back within 15-20 minutes, please call again.
