After my first day as a medical student at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, I knew I would become a pediatrician. I loved how many small moments of joy occurred all throughout the day on the pediatric ward, from holding a newborn to laughing at a preschooler's jokes. This is still my favorite part of my job!
I came to California from the midwest when I was in elementary school, and was raised in the Monterey area. I studied Biology at Stanford, and then took a few years to work in the field of public health before moving to Los Angeles to attend medical school at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. As a Northern Californian at heart, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to come back to the Bay Area to do my pediatric training at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford.
My husband Doug grew up in Moraga, so after I finished my training we moved to the Lamorinda area to be close to family. I feel so fortunate to have met the dedicated, wonderful doctors at Lamorinda Pediatrics and join the practice. I now live in Lafayette with Doug and our three children Kyle, Lauren, and Tyler. When I am not working I love to take pictures, go jogging or hiking, and read fiction.
