I first visited Lamorinda Pediatrics during my pediatric residency at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland on a rotation where we visit different clinics in the community. I remember being struck by the friendly, cozy environment, and fun, knowledgeable physicians. Of course, I was beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to join the practice after completing residency in 2016! I truly love the continuity of care that pediatrics provides from working closely with families in the first few months (and years) of their baby's life to diagnosing and treating illness to helping teens navigate the perils of adolescence.
I was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California. I ventured cross-country to Bowdoin College in Maine for my undergraduate studies with a major in Anthropology. After college, I returned to Southern California where I did translational research in the Dermatology Department at Harbor-UCLA. I received my Master's in Public Health, with a focus on health promotion and education, from University of Southern California prior to attending medical school at UC Irvine.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading (I'm in three book clubs!), puzzles, cooking, and traveling. I am also an expert at applying sunscreen. I live in Oakland with my two cats, Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth.
